Pittsburgh, PA (October 4, 2016) – PITT OHIO was honored with a SmartWay® Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a true industry leader in freight supply chain environmental performance and energy efficiency. PITT OHIO Reduced carbon emissions per shipment in 2016 by 1.2% and by 4.7% over the past 4 years; Implemented 20 CNG tractors; Reduced kilowatts at existing buildings by 3.4%; And reduced kilowatts per square foot at upgraded buildings by 35%.
