DPD Polska teaches you how to wisely and responsibly use e-commerce tools

Warsaw, 9 July 2012 – Due to the constantly growing internet e-commerce sector, DPD Polska in cooperation with is.tv (http://istv.pl/) is continuing its “I pay I don’t pay” series of educational programs about the e-commerce market.

The DPD Polska and is.tv joint project (formerly Webshake.tv) “I pay I don’t pay” has been functioning since April 2011. The demand for knowledge about e-commerce has resulted in the recording of a second series of 10 episodes of “I pay I don’t pay”, which begins with an episode on mobile technologies in purchasing, sales and logistics. In further episodes, we talk about group purchasing, buying food from internet food shops, new developments in payment for purchases in-store and online and what product range to choose when starting an online shop and how these goods can be stored and transported.

“We are pleased that we have been able to establish a lasting and fruitful cooperation with is.tv Internet television,” says Aneta Gasparska, Spokesperson/Director of Marketing at DPD Polska. “We are proud of the fact that the “I pay I don’t pay” series was met with so much interest among Internet users, both from those interested in developing their online business, as well as those who shop on the internet,” she adds.

Advice for both online shoppers and sellers can be found in the series. The series is a response to the clear need for public education, as people are often not able to keep up with the high pace of development of new technologies. Viewers of the first series were able to learn about how couriers work and the process of delivering to addresses. Thanks to this educational project, Internet users can find out about the opportunities and pitfalls associated with e-commerce from the perspective of both the customer and the owner of an online store. Viewers can also learn what rights and obligations Internet users have and what to pay attention to when starting an online business.

“In the virtual world there are many dangers lurking. “The program aims to identify ways to avoid unpleasant surprises and skilfully use e-commerce tools.” says Maciej Glowacki, Director of Sales and Marketing at DPD Polska. “We hope that in this light and friendly way, we will contribute to increased knowledge of Internet users, who are increasingly eager to use new tools and increasingly see the Internet as an opportunity to develop their own business.”
