AIT Security and Compliance

Ask anyone in the supply chain community. They will tell you that securing the world’s transportation systems is more complex than ever – particularly internationally. Knowledge of best practices and government regulations, and access to technology play a pivotal role in ensuring supply chain safety. These are areas where AIT excels.

Through ongoing education of our agents — both customer service and cartage – as well as through our partners, AIT ensures global governmental compliance. Key professional and regulatory memberships and associations include the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT). In addition, AIT is a TAPA and C-TPAT member and has key market Certified Cargo Screening Facilities.

Employee training is delivered across a broad spectrum of areas and disciplines. Occupation-specific education is required to ensure that employees are equipped to handle any on-the-job security challenge. Drivers, for instance, are trained in dangerous goods transportation, robbery response, and anti-terrorism.

Moreover, AIT is an active participant in the Transported Asset Protection Administration (TAPA). We also are participants in Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT), a joint initiative between government and business designed to protect cargo entering the United States. Together, our contributions in these organizations offer customers confidence that their cargo is safe – from transit and handling, to storage and warehousing.
