Thanks to our loyal customers, a committed team, and a clear vision, our company is a comprehensive national carrier with complete LTL & TL coverage within Canada and between Canada, the USA and Mexico. With over 60 years of service, we have fine-tuned our operation to meet the varied needs of Canadian shippers from Newfoundland to British Columbia, and all points in between.
Launched by Maritimers Elbert Day and Walter Ross, Day & Ross started with one truck hauling potatoes from New Brunswick to Quebec. Today, Day & Ross hauls more than just potatoes – the company has grown to include over 1200 power units, 2000 trailers and more than 5300 dedicated and experienced employees and owner-operators located in terminals and other facilities across Canada.
While the company’s head office is located in Hartland, New Brunswick, Day & Ross is recognized as one of Canada’s only true National carriers serving all 10 provinces direct with LTL and TL service anywhere in Canada, and to and from the United States through a strategic alliance with our exclusive U.S. marketing partner. We also offer scheduled TL operations to and from Mexico.
As part of the McCain family, Day & Ross is committed to Lean “Six Sigma”, a process designed to involve employees in decision-making, and to instill a philosophy of continuous improvement. The results are evident in our 97.5% consistent on-time service, 0.38% claims ratio, pro-active tracing, and customized customer support programs, to name a few.
We are proud of our Canadian ownership and beginnings. We are equally proud of today’s Day & Ross, a financially sound, long term, low cost operator, committed to the expansion and enhancement of our services throughout North America. Customers can count on us to put forth the extra effort required to develop a professional partnership with them, and to make that partnership flow smoothly.
Day & Ross is part of the Day & Ross Transportation Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of McCain Foods Limited. The Day & Ross Group offers a complete range of transportation services through four functional divisions.
