APL Voted ‘Best Shipping Line in the Transpacific’ at the 2017 Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards

SINGAPORE, 30 Jun 2017 – APL has been named the ‘Best Shipping Line in the Transpacific’ at the 2017 Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards last evening, in Singapore. Determined through votes cast by industry stakeholders, customers, global shippers and readers of Asia Cargo News, the Award recognises APL as the preferred shipping carrier for the Transpacific market with outstanding leadership, service quality, innovation, customer relationship management and reliability in this segment category.

APL’s market share in the Transpacific also rose to 6.7% in 1Q2017 from 5.2% in 1Q2016. APL Carves New Market in Hawaii with Aloha Express Service

APL today unveiled Aloha Express (AEX) service, a new fortnightly service that directly connects Central China, Korea, Japan to Hawaii. Designed with the best transit time in the industry, the AEX service promises cargo delivery from Shanghai (China), Busan (Korea) and Yokohama (Japan) to Honolulu (Hawaii) in just 19, 15 and 12 days respectively.

“The AEX service introduces a new sea route in our portfolio to directly serve Asia and Hawaii.  Instead of routing via the U.S. mainland, shippers with Hawaiian-bound cargo will find a faster shipping alternative in the AEX service. To optimally coincide with market activities in the U.S. state, shipments on board the AEX service are scheduled for Sunday arrival in Hawaii for early week cargo availability,” said Jesper Stenbak, APL Senior Vice President of Trans-Pacific Trade.

Aramex Announces Record Net Profit Growth in Q4 2016

Dubai, UAE; January 30, 2017:Aramex (DFM: ARMX), the disruptive leader in the global logistics and transportation industry, today announced its Full Year Financial Results for the year ended 31 December 2016.

Aramex’s 2016 Full Year Revenues reached AED 4,343 million, up by 16% compared to AED 3,755 million in 2015. Q4 Revenues saw double-digit growth of 18% to AED 1,158 million, compared to AED 982 million in the corresponding period of 2015.

The Company’s 2016 Full Year Net Profits increased by 37% to AED 426.6 million, compared to AED 311.3 million in 2015. Q4 Net Profits reached AED 131.8 million, which represents an increase of 129%, compared to AED 57.6 million in Q4 2015.
