PITT OHIO´s Manager of Training & Development Honored by the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association

Dean Yockey receives prestigious Gogolin Award

Pittsburgh, PA (April 17th, 2015) – On Thursday, March 26 Dean Yockey was presented with the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association (PMTA) Gogolin Award in recognition of his outstanding dedication to truck safety and continued efforts and contributions to the PMTA on behalf of PITT OHIO.

Yockey has been instrumental to the success of PITT OHIO’s safety department for over 28 years and is currently the company’s Manager of Training and Development. The award is named after Edward Gogolin who joined PMTA in 1930 and dedicated the next 40 years of his career to elevating the field of safety in the trucking industry.

Ronald Uriah, PITT OHIO´s Vice President of Risk Management Compliance Government Affairs said, “Dean Yockey is a valued, loyal and trustworthy employee at PITT OHIO. Over his many years with the company he has demonstrated dependability, hard work ethic, and a total commitment to commercial motor vehicle safety. Dean Yockey is to be recognized as one of the many individuals responsible for the success, support and recognition that PITT OHIO has achieved over the years and continues to maintain today.”

Mark Laurusevage, Chairman of the Safety Management Council at PMTA, said, “I´ve worked with Dean for a number of years at both SMC and Truck Driving Championship and I got to know him as a person who truly cares about this industry, its people, and the future. His commitment to the Trucking Association as well as SMC speaks volumes about the passion he has towards making our highways safer for all of us and our families.”

C.H. Robinson adds Global Forwarding Office: Leadership Positions

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS (April 17, 2015) — Known as one of the largest maritime, logistics, and industrial hubs in Europe, Antwerp is also now home to C.H. Robinson’s newest Global Forwarding office.

The grouping of the existing C.H. Robinson road transport office in Antwerp with the new global forwarding office enables C.H. Robinson to provide the Belgian marketplace with a local approach combined with a wide scope of tailor-made global services. To support this expansion, Erwin Dhaene was appointed manager of the new office. Prior to becoming manager, Dhaene was responsible for C.H. Robinson’s ocean product development in Europe.

“We are confident that our new global forwarding office in Antwerp has tremendous opportunity to play a prominent role in Belgium and we are committed to be a reliable resource for all logistics needs,” said Dhaene.
