C.H. ROBINSON COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF APC LOGISTICS

Minneapolis, Minnesota (September 30, 2016) – C.H. Robinson today announced that it has finalized the acquisition of APC Logistics, a leading provider of freight forwarding and customs brokerage services to over 3,000 customers and suppliers in Australia and New Zealand. The $300 million AUD acquisition expands C.H. Robinson’s global presence and brings additional capabilities and expertise to the company’s portfolio. C.H. Robinson financed the acquisition and related fees and expenses with cash and funds drawn from the company’s existing revolving credit facility. The company expects the transaction to be modestly accretive to earnings.

Robinson continues to grow its global presence and today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire APC Logistics, a leading provider of freight forwarding and customs brokerage services in Australia and New Zealand. The two companies have had a long-standing exclusive agent relationship for business in Australia and New Zealand. The agreement is subject to certain customary closing conditions, including regulatory approval.

“This acquisition allows us to add great talent to our Global Forwarding team and advances the strategy to expand our global network,” said John Wiehoff, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of C.H. Robinson. “We will work hard to successfully integrate the valued employees, customers and suppliers of APC.”

APC Logistics is a privately held international freight forwarder, providing ocean, air, customs brokerage and consultancy services, currently serving over 3,000 customers and suppliers. Founded in 1974 and headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, APC Logistics employs approximately 300 people and has seven offices in Australia and two offices in New Zealand. APC had $334.2 million AUD (approximately $251 million USD) in total revenues for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2016. C.H. Robinson intends to purchase APC Logistics for approximately $300 million AUD (approximately $225 million USD) in cash. The acquisition is expected to be accretive in 2016 and 2017 and will be financed through cash and funds drawn from C.H. Robinson’s existing revolving credit facility.

C.H. ROBINSON AND WESTERN GROWERS CELEBRATE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM

Minneapolis, MN (August 25, 2016) — Ten years ago,
C.H. Robinson and Western Growers formed the Western Growers Transportation Program to provide supply chain solutions for fresh produce growers in North America. To celebrate the anniversary of this program, C.H. Robinson and Western Growers hosted a Giving Day on August 24, 2016, across the country, using C.H. Robinson’s Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, hub as a collection and distribution center.

In keeping with the produce focus of the program, the food drive event encouraged growers to donate to Feeding America—either through product or monetary donations. At the end of the day, participating growers and associations donated more than 240,000 pounds of produce, along with monetary donations, equating to over 250,000 meals. C.H. Robinson donated the transportation needed for the event. The donations went to Feeding America locations across the country. Feeding America is the nation’s largest domestic hunger relief organization, providing food to 46 million low-income Americans every year.

“Over the past 10 years, C.H. Robinson has worked with many grower-shippers through the Western Growers Transportation Program and has helped them improve their supply chains,” said Luke Gowdy, general manager at C.H. Robinson. “We are energized by the 10-year celebration, the participation of growers in Giving Day, and the future of the program.”
